LEON VALLEY, TEXAS. Leon Valley is near the junction of Loop 410 and State Highway 16, ten miles northwest of downtown San Antonio in northwestern Bexar County. The community was developed in the 1950s and had a population of 536 in 1960 and 1,960 in 1970. It incorporated in the 1960s and in 1990 had a reported 9,581 residents. In 2000 the population dropped to 9,239.
