LEWISVILLE, TEXAS (Limestone County). Lewisville was two miles west of Groesbeck in central Limestone County. It was named for James L. Lewis, who moved his store to the area before 1860. The community was said at its peak to have had several stores, a saloon, a blacksmith, and a school. No evidence of the community was shown on the 1948 county highway map.
