LA PEÑUSCA, TEXAS. La Peñusca is a colonia off Farm Road 1575 on the southern shore of Resaca de los Cuates,^qv a mile west of Los Fresnos in central Cameron County. In the late 1940s the community was composed of a few scattered farms. In 1983 there were twenty-seven dwellings there. No population estimates were available in 2000.
