LAS TIENDAS, TEXAS. Las Tiendas is a ranching community on Farm Road 3338 a mile south of Jeffries Tank, twenty miles east of State Highway 1472, and fifty-six miles northwest of Laredo in northwestern Webb County. The town's name is Spanish for "the shops." A local school enrolled twenty-eight students in 1907. County maps showed a business and a few dwellings there in the 1960s and 1980s.
