LITTLE MINERAL CREEK. Little Mineral Creek rises a mile north of Pottsboro in north central Grayson County (at 33°46' N, 96°42' W) and runs north for four miles to its mouth (at 33°49' N, 96°39' W) on the Little Mineral Arm of Lake Texoma, 4½ miles north of Pottsboro. The stream is intermittent in its upper and middle reaches. It traverses low-rolling to flat terrain that is surfaced by sandy and clay loams, in some places shallow and stony. Local vegetation includes mixed hardwoods, pines, junipers, and oaks, with various grasses. The area has served as range and crop land.
