LITTLE CREEK (Bandera County). Little Creek, formerly known as Turkey Creek, rises eight miles north of Utopia in southwestern Bandera County (at 29°45' N, 99°28' W) and runs south, through Bandera and Uvalde counties, for sixteen miles to its mouth on the Sabinal River, two miles south of Utopia (at 29°34' N, 99°30' W). For most of its length, Little Creek flows through rolling terrain covered by moderately deep to deep sandy and clay loams that support open stands of live oak and Ashe juniper with an understory of mixed grasses.
