MAMBRINO, TEXAS. Mambrino, eight miles southeast of Granbury in south central Hood County, was probably established around 1900. The farming community had ten residents by the mid-1930s, and by the middle of the next decade it had a population of twenty-five and one business. Mambrino did not report population statistics during the 1950s and 1960s. From the mid-1970s through 1990 it reported a population of seventy-four.
