MOSSY GROVE, TEXAS. Mossy Grove is on State Highway 75 sixteen miles northwest of Huntsville in northwestern Walker County. In 1937 the community had one business and a dwelling; postal service, churches, and schools were available in nearby Sion. In 1941 Mossy Grove had a hotel, two businesses, and three dwellings. The community was still listed in 1990.
