MCFALL BRANCH. McFall Branch rises a mile southeast of Yarrelton in northwestern Milam County (at 30°56' N, 97°04' W) and runs southeast for six miles to its mouth on North Elm Creek, four miles northwest of Cameron (at 30°54' N, 97°00' W). The surrounding flat to rolling prairie is surfaced by dark, calcareous clay that supports mesquite, cacti, and grasses. The creek was named for an early settler.
