MACHO CREEK (Atascosa County). Macho Creek rises (at 28°45' N, 98°35' W) in southwestern Atascosa County and runs east to its mouth (at 28°44' N, 98°28' W) on Turkey Creek, four miles southwest of Christine. The creek is dammed at its headwaters to form a lake. The local terrain is flat with local shallow depressions, surfaced by clayey and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses. Some of the area is used as rangeland.
