NACOGDOCHES TEXIAN AND EMIGRANT'S GUIDE. The Nacogdoches Texian and Emigrant's Guide was founded in November 1835 by Mississippi merchant William G. Logan,qv who purchased Milton Slocum'sqv press and persuaded printer David E. Lawhonqv to operate it. The paper continued until at least January 2, 1836, and it is believed Lawhon published some issues as late as March 24, 1836.
