NACOGDOCHES TEXAS CHRONICLE. The Nacogdoches Texas Chronicle, a weekly newspaper, was published from sometime in 1836 until August 1838. Initially, Isaac Watts Burton and William W. Bell used Milton Slocum's press for printing. In the fall of 1837 the paper advanced Thomas J. Ruskqvfor the presidency of the Republic of Texas. Charles D. Ferris and Charles S. Taylor^qqv were also associated with the newspaper.
