NEGGAN, GEORGE (1808-1836). George Neggan, Alamo defender, was born in South Carolina in 1808. At the time of the Texas Revolution he was a resident of Gonzales and was one of the men who rode to the relief of the Alamo with the force from that town. Neggan died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
