NELSON, ANDREW M. (1809-1836). Andrew M. Nelson, Alamo defender, son of John and Elizabeth (Mansfield) Nelson, was born in Tennessee in 1809. He was a single man. He served in the Alamo garrison and died in the battle of the Alamoqv on March 6, 1836.
