NEIBLING, FREDERIC (1800-1848?). Frederic Neibling, early settler and legislator, was born in Virginia in 1800. He moved to Texas in 1835 and settled in Milam County as a merchant and farmer. From January 1, 1836, to May 28, 1838, he served in the Texas army as assistant commissary general. In July 1838 he advertised as a land agent, giving San Antonio Prairie as his residence. He represented Milam County in the House of the Fourth Congress in 1839 and in the special session of the Sixth Congress, June 27 to July 23, 1842. Neibling married Mary A. Addison in 1836. The couple had five children. Executors of his estate filed bond in Burleson County on November 27, 1848.
