NORWOOD, TEXAS (San Augustine County). Norwood is on State Highway 147 six miles southwest of San Augustine in central San Augustine County. In 1904 the community had one school with thirty-eight pupils and one teacher. In 1940 it had the Norwood school and a number of scattered dwellings. By the 1980s Norwood consisted of a number of dwellings, a cemetery, and a church.
