ODOESMADE INDIANS. The Odoesmade Indians are known only from documents of 1691, at which time they were encountered by Spaniards just south of the Rio Grande in northeastern Coahuila. They must also have ranged north of the Rio Grande at least as far as the southern edge of the Edwards Plateau. Swanton considered them to be of Coahuiltecan affiliation.
