OAK GROVE, TEXAS (Kaufman County). Oak Grove encompasses a strip one-half mile wide and three miles long on Farm Road 1388 just south of Kaufman in central Kaufman County. The community had a school by 1925. The population, estimated at 120 in 1975, increased to 319 by 1980 and 557 by 1990. The town was incorporated sometime between 1970 and 1978. The population was 710 in 2000.
