PETTIBONE, TEXAS. Pettibone is on U.S. Highway 190 five miles west of Cameron in west central Milam County. It was a flag stop after the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway built through the area in 1881. The community is said to have been named for a railroad official. It had a population of twenty in 1933 and twenty-five in 1990. The population remained unchanged in 2000.
