PLAINVIEW, TEXAS (Sabine County). Plainview is at the junction of Farm roads 1 and 2024, five miles north of Pineland in southwestern Sabine County. This small, rural community had a school, a church, a cemetery, and a small business in 1936. By 1955 the school district had been consolidated with the Pineland district, and only the church, cemetery, and widely scattered houses remained.
