PAINT CREEK (Real County). Paint Creek rises in the northeastern corner of Real County, a quarter of a mile west of the Kerr county line (at 29°59' N, 99°42' W) and runs north northwest for 33½ miles, through Real, Edwards, and Kimble counties, to its mouth on South Llano River, 1½ miles south of Telegraph (at 30°18' N, 99°54' W). Paint Creek is intermittent except for the last four miles between Boiling Spring in Edwards County and the South Llano.
