RALEIGH, WILLIAM (?-?). William Raleigh, one of the Old Three Hundred,qv was in Texas as early as April 1824, when he voted in an election in the colony of Stephen F. Austin.qv He received title to a league of land on the west bank of the Brazos River just south of the Old San Antonio Roadqv in what is now eastern Burleson County on August 16, 1824.
