RALEIGH, WILLIAM (?-?). William Raleigh, one of the Old Three Hundred,^qv was in Texas as early as April 1824, when he voted in an election in the colony of Stephen F. Austin.^qv He received title to a league of land on the west bank of the Brazos River just south of the Old San Antonio Road^qv in what is now eastern Burleson County on August 16, 1824.
