RAYMOND, TEXAS. Raymond, on U.S. Highway 287 twelve miles northwest of Henrietta in west central Clay County, was established as a switch on the Fort Worth and Denver City Railway, probably during the late nineteenth century. The settlement apparently never developed much. State highway maps once showed a school and business at the townsite, but by the 1980s only a single business remained.
