RIVERSIDE, TEXAS (Nueces County). Riverside is on Farm Road 624 three miles from Calallen in northern Nueces County. It was established around 1910. A frame schoolhouse was built in 1911, and a brick school was built in 1926. In 1941 Riverside was consolidated with the Calallen Independent School District. The school building was remodeled by in the late 1960s to serve as the Calallen vocational school. In the 1990s many of the residents worked in nearby Corpus Christi.
