ROOSTER SPRINGS, TEXAS. Rooster Springs was a settlement situated near a spring six miles east of Dripping Springs in northern Hays County. In the nineteenth century this small community was a stage stop on the road from Austin to Blanco. A Mr. Cade owned and operated a cotton gin in the neighborhood.
