RUTH, TEXAS (Concho County). Ruth was ten miles southwest of Eden in southwestern Concho County. In 1908 promotional literature for the county cited Ruth as one of five Concho communities with a windmill. The settlement had a post office from 1908 to 1917. In 1914 Ruth had a combination grocery shop and drugstore and a population of forty-two. By 1936 the community had been abandoned.
