RAMONA, TEXAS. Ramona was a dispersed community in eastern Hidalgo County. It received its mail from Edcouch. In 1954 the population of Ramona was estimated at 2,768, where it remained until 1964, when it was estimated at 100. The community ceased to exist around 1968.
