RAINEY CREEK (Coryell County). Rainey Creek rises in northeastern Coryell County (at 31°32' N, 97°39' W) two miles west of Coryell City. It runs northeast for ten miles to its mouth (at 31°36' N, 97°32' W) on the Middle Bosque River seven miles northwest of Crawford in McLennan County. The flat to rolling terrain is surfaced by shallow clay loam which supports oak, juniper, cacti, and grasses.
