SAN PIERRE, JOSEPH (?-?). Joseph San Pierre, one of Stephen F. Austin'sqv Old Three Hundredqv colonists, came to Texas by August 24, 1824, when he was granted the title to labor of land in what is now Fort Bend County. The census of March 1826 listed him as a farmer and stock raiser. At that time he was aged over fifty and had a wife, Peggy, three sons, and two daughters. One of the daughters married Samuel Chance.qv
