SAN CARLOS, TEXAS (Starr County). San Carlos is on Farm Road 649 twenty miles north of Rio Grande City in northern Starr County. In 1991 the old community had two homes, a general store and gas station, a cemetery, and a population of ten. The population remained the same in 2000.
