SEABUR, TEXAS. Seabur was two miles east of Chester in northwestern Tyler County on the route of the Trinity and Sabine Railway, a line chartered in 1881 by local lumber interests. The line was purchased in 1882 by the Missouri, Kansas, and Texas Railroad (the Katy) and became known as the "Orphan Katy" because it was never connected to its mother line. Seabur was served by a Colmesneil postal route.
