TERRY'S CHAPEL, TEXAS. Terry's Chapel is a small rural community on Farm Road 1771 seven miles west of Rosebud in southwestern Falls County. It is said to have been named for Jim Terry, a farmer who donated land for a Baptist church. In 1906 the property was bought by the Salem Lutheran Church, which rebuilt on the site. A church, two businesses, and several scattered houses marked the community on county highway maps in the 1940s. In the 1980s a church, a business, and a cemetery remained. No population estimates for the community were available.
