TURKEY CREEK (Williamson County). Turkey Creek rises two miles northwest of Taylor in southeastern Williamson County (at 30°37' N, 97°27' W) and runs east for 20½ miles, through southeastern Williamson County and southwestern Milam County, to its mouth on Brushy Creek, two miles northeast of Thorndale in southwest Milam County (at 30°38' N, 97°11' W). The banks of the stream are sparsely wooded with post oak trees, and the creek flows through gently sloping terrain surfaced by clayey soils used predominantly as cropland.
