T-Fortyone Creek rises twelve miles southeast of Matador in southeast
Motley County (at 33°40' N, 100°37' W) and flows northeast
for eight miles to its mouth on Salt Creek, two miles west of
the Motley-Cottle county line and four miles south of U.S. Highway
62/70 (at 34°45' N, 100°33' W). The small stream, known
earlier as Tarrants Creek, is near what was the southeast boundary
of the Matador Ranchqv

covered with shallow to moderately deep silt loams. Mesquite and
grasses grow along the banks of the creek.
