TAYLOR BAYOU (Harris County). Taylor Bayou rises near the community of Shoreacres in southeast Harris County (at 29°39' N, 95°01' W) and flows south for four miles to its mouth on Taylor Lake (at 29°34' N, 95°03' W). The watercourse cuts through an area of flat to rolling prairie. Vegetation consists primarily of mesquite, cacti, and grasses growing in soil that ranges from dark calcareous clay to sandy clay loams.
