UNION GROVE, TEXAS (Bell County). Union Grove is located off Farm Road 2484 about ten miles southwest of Belton in west central Bell County. The rural community began by the early 1900s, and a store operated in the area. Highway maps of the 1930s showed a school, business, and dwellings at Union Grove. By the late 1960s Stillhouse Hollow Lake, constructed on the Lampasas River, was just to the north of the community. Though Union Grove still appeared on maps in the 1990s, apparently the school and business had long closed. In 2000 the population was four.
