VALLEY VIEW, TEXAS (Comal County). Valley View, ten miles northwest of New Braunfels in central Comal County, was established in 1922, when Robert Heimer leased land at the intersection of the New Braunfels-Blanco road and the Crane's Mill road for a garage, filling station, store, and residence. The Heimer Ranch Bowling Club was built in 1924. The community is devoted to farming and ranching, and area ranches are leased for the deer-hunting season.
