VAIR, TEXAS. Vair, a farming community on State Highway 94 in extreme eastern Trinity County, developed after 1900 at the intersection of three railroads: the Groveton, Lufkin and Northern Railway, the Texas South-Eastern Railroad, and the Southern Pine Lumber Company tram. In the mid-1930s Vair included several stores and a number of houses, and by the early 1990s it still had several stores and houses. No population estimates were available.
