VALENTINE BRANCH. Valentine Branch, intermittent in its upper reaches and entirely within northeastern Tom Green County, rises two miles southeast of Harriet Community (at 31°38' N, 100°23' W) and flows southeast for thirteen miles into the Concho River four miles north of Veribest (31°32' N, 100°15' W). The creek passes through flat terrain with local shallow depressions where water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses grow in clay and sandy loam soils.
