VALLEY BRANCH (Gonzales County). Valley Branch rises in northeastern Gonzales County (at 29°34' N, 97°13' W) one-half mile north of Nickel and runs northwest for four miles to its mouth (at 29°35' N, 97°16' W) on Peach Creek. The low to moderately rolling terrain is surfaced by fine sandy loam and clay which support hardwoods, pines, mesquite, and a variety of grasses.
