WIXON VALLEY, TEXAS. Wixon Valley is at the intersection of U.S. Highway 190 and Farm Road 2776, four miles northeast of Bryan in northeastern Brazos County. The Wickson family settled in the area in the 1840s, giving their name to nearby Wickson Creek. Wixon Valley, which is probably a variant of Wickson, grew up as a suburb of Bryan in the mid-1980s. The community was incorporated around 1988, and it had a population of 186 in 1990. The population reached 235 in 2000.
