WALNUT GROVE, TEXAS (Tom Green County). Walnut Grove, a dispersed community in north central Tom Green County, was probably settled by 1900. The local school had a single teacher in 1931 and twenty pupils in 1933. By 1936, however, neither the school nor the community appeared on state highway maps.
