WILLIAMS CREEK (Bandera County). Williams Creek rises four miles northwest of Tarpley in south central Bandera County (at 29°43' N, 99°21' W). Intermittent in its upper reaches, the stream follows a southeasterly course for 8½ miles to its mouth on Hondo Creek, one mile south of Tarpley (at 29°39' N, 99°16' W). The creek flows through generally flat to rolling terrain surfaced by moderately deep to deep sandy and clay loam soils that support open stands of live oak and Ashe juniper.
