WALKER PEAK.
Walker Peak stands 1½ miles southwest of Click in south central
Llano County (at 30°33' N, 98°36' W). At an elevation
of 1,552 feet, the summit rises approximately 530 feet above nearby
Sandy Creek, with a prominent 300-foot escarpment immediately
above the creek. Local terrain is rolling, with deep and dense
dissection, and covered with soils that vary from shallow and
stony to sandy loams. Vegetation consists primarily of open stands
of live oak and Ashe juniper.
