YERO, TEXAS. Yero was located ten miles northeast of Huntsville on U.S. Highway 75 and Nelson Creek in west central Walker County. A post office operated from 1899 to 1907. In 1911 the town had a school, and by the 1940s it had several scattered dwellings, two businesses, and a cemetery.
