JOSEPH
JOSEPH (?–?). In late August 1689 Joseph (José), a Mescal Indian, brought to the Conde de Monclova information of the location of Fort St. Louis and of René Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle's departure toward the Mississippi to seek aid.
