TAYLOR, WILLIAM
TAYLOR, WILLIAM (1799–1836). William Taylor, Alamo defender, was born in Tennessee in 1799. He was one of at least three William Taylors who served in the revolutionary army. As a member of the Alamo garrison, he died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
