WHEELER, GEORGE HOWARD
WHEELER, GEORGE HOWARD (?–?). George Howard Wheeler, Medal of Honor recipient, was born in San Antonio. His parents are believed to be W. M. and Annie Wheeler. He was a Shipfitter First Class, United States Navy, and was cited for bravery and extraordinary heroism during the conflagration in Coquimbo, Chile, on January 20, 1909.
