KERRVILLE STATE RECREATION AREA
KERRVILLE STATE RECREATION AREA. Kerrville State Recreation Area is on the Guadalupe River and U.S. Highway 173, three miles southwest of Kerrville in Kerr County. The 517.2-acre park was given to the state by the city of Kerrville in 1934. During the mid-1930s the Civilian Conservation Corps constructed picnic areas and other structures. Facilities include a boat ramp, toilets, a lighted fishing pier, a dining hall, and an amphitheater.
