BOB TOWN, TX

BOB TOWN, TEXAS. Bob Town is located on U.S. Highway 380 about twelve miles southwest of Jacksboro in western Jack County. The tiny community began in the 1940s and was named after the area's first resident. Situated near the Chicago, Rock Island and Gulf Railroad and the Bryson Oil Field, Bob Town was probably home to some of the field workers in the vicinity but never had any sizable population. No population estimates were available in 2000.
